Situated near the ferry terminal, this relic of Ningbo¡¯s remarkable past dates back to 1628, when Portuguese merchants ruled the South Pacific trade routes. It was destroyed and rebuilt during the 1800¡¯s and was the base for a local Christian community when the city was under British rule. Church services are still held here daily, though visitors are free to view the whitewashed Mediterranean-style interior at any time.
